ANTARVEDI: In a shocking incident, the chariot of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Antarvediof Andhra Pradesh was gutted in fire in the wee hours of Sunday, September 6.

According to initial reports, the chariot was kept inside a shed in the temple premises was caught on fire. As this incident occured in the early morning no one had noticed it for a long time.

This famous Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is located at Sakinetipalli Madal of East Godavari district in AP.

The wooden chariot was completely burnt and reduced to ashes in the fire accident and the locals along with devotees were shocked after getting to know about the information.

Police rushed to spot after getting information over the news , but by the time police reached there wooden chariot was completely reduced into coal pieces. Police started investigating if it is an accident or any miscreants had intentionally did this.

Reportedly this Cahriot was last used in the nine day Kalyanostavam of Narasimha Swamy on February 2020. It was the only chariot of the temple which was being used for special occasions like festivals and Kalyanostavam.

This Cahriot was donated to temple by Konapati Krishnamma in the 1990s. Intial reports revealed that there were no posiibility of Short crcuit inside the shed where the Cahriot was placed.
