Co-WIN now offers the option of linking vaccination certificates with passport numbers on its portal. It is a great relief to Indians who need to fill out their vaccination details before going abroad

By linking this only you are allowed to travel abroad without any restrictions. Thankfully for all of us, the process of linking passport numbers with vaccination certificates is simple and can be easily done online. All you need is to follow these simple steps.

  • Go to the Official Cowin website
  • Click on Register / Sign in, log in with your registered mobile number now click on OTP, Enter OTP and Verify
  • On the top right hand top corner you will see menu option ‘Raise Issue’ Click on that
  • Here you will see three options — Certificate Correction, Merge Multiple Dose 1 Certificates and Add Passport Details. Click on Add Passport Details option.
  • Now, you will be redirected to the page where you will have to select the name of the person whose passport you want to link.
  • Select the name of the person in the drop-down menu and then type the passport number in the ‘Enter Beneficiary’s Passport Number’ section.
  • Now, check the box that says — ‘I declare that this passport belongs to the beneficiary. The name of the passport holder is the same as mentioned on the vaccine certificate.’
  • Click on the Submit Request button. Now, you will get an SMS on your registered mobile number confirming that your request has been submitted.
  • Sign in again with your registered mobile number on the CoWin website. Under your name, click on the certificate tab and verify the information in your passport that would have been added to the vaccination certificate.
