HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Meteorological Department foretasted that very heavy rains would hit several parts of Telangana for next three days days till Wednesday, September 16, under the influence of low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal today which will be gradually developed into a cyclonic storm at the median troposphere level.

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in Telangana in the next three days. It predicted that heavy to very heavy rains are expected to hit districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancheriyala, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Siddipet,Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kotthagudem, Warangal Rural, Warangal Urban, Mahabubabad, Janagama, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Khammam, Suryapeta, Nalgonda, Medchal, Hyderabad Rangareddy and few areas in Nagarkurnool. So the State government is taking all precautionary measures in these district and they were on high alert.
The meteorological department foretasted that a similar situation will prevail in these districts even on Tuesday, September 15. On the other hand, the state government is on alert in the wake of heavy rains in several districts of Telangana, including Hyderabad.
The state government is alerting the district authorities from time to time as per the instructions of the Meteorological Department. The government has been issuing directives to district authorities to stay vigilant in Krishna and Godavari basins along with districts prone to heavy rains.
