The state government would also likely give relaxations to certain sectors during this lockdown period. Telangana state cabinet to hold a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on today, May 30.
Telangana government had initially announced the lockdown on May 12 for 10 days, but later extended it till May 30. The state government has held the cabinet meeting to take stock over the coronavirus cases in the state and decide over lockdown extension and other ways to tackle the spread of virus. Due to imposition of lockdown and the relaxation timings are only from 6 AM to 10 AM, people were seen gathering in huge crowds near the markets, shops and other essential services. To avoid this crowd forming, the state government would likely relax the lockdown from 6 AM to 12 PM, and extend lockdown for a few more days to contain the spread of coronavirus.
AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi urges CM KCR and Telangana government not to extend lockdown as it would cripple the lives of daily labourer and poor people.
