HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday announced that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government will soon officially rename the Necklace Road as PV Gnana Marg as a tribute to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.
CM KCR also said that state government will soon pass a resolution in the next Assembly session demanding country’s highest civilian honour to PV Narasimha Rao.

The state government also decided to erect a memorial and statues of the PV Narasimha Rao in Necklace road and Beautiful parks should be built all along the Necklace road path.
PV Narasimha Rao served as the ninth Prime Minister for India between 1991 and 1996. He hailed from Laknepally village in Narsampet Mandal of Warangal district of Telangana and was born on June 28, 1921. He passed away on December 24 2004.
