HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,479 Coronavirus cases on Wenesday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,47,642. The death toll went up to 916, with 10 new deaths reported on September 9.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,485 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,15,072 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 77.9 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.62 as against the country’s death rate of 1.69.

The Telangana government had increased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 62,649 samples between Monday and Tuesday, and a total of 18,90,554 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 2,430 samples are awaited.
After 2,485 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 31,654 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 24,741 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 322 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 188 cases, while Medchal reported 183 cases, 124 from Warangal, 120 from Karimnagar and 108 cases from Nalgonda.
