HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,511 Coronavirus cases on Saturday , With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,38,395. The death toll went up to 877, with 11 new cases reported on September 5.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,579 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of 1,04,603 recoveries in the state to till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 75.5 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 77.24 per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.63 as against the country’s death rate of 1.73.

The Telangana government had increased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 62,132 samples between Thursday and Friday, and a total of 16,67,653 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 3,145 samples are awaited.
After 2,579 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 32,915 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 25,729 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest 7,186 patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 305 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 184 cases, while Medchal reported 134 cases.
