HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,478 Coronavirus cases on Friday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,35,884. The death toll went up to 806, with 10 new cases reported on September 4.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,011 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,02,024 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 75.0 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 77.14 per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.63 as against the country’s death rate of 1.74.

After 2,011 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 32,994 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 25,730 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
The Telangana government had increased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 62,543 samples between Wednesday and Thursday, and a total of 16,05,521 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 2,274 samples are awaited.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 267 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning. Followed by Medchal with 190 cases and Ragareddy with 171 cases, while Karimnagar reported 129 cases.
