HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,817 Coronavirus cases on Thursday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,33,406. The death toll went up to 856, with 10 new cases reported on September 3.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,611 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,00,013 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 74.9 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 77.09 per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.64 as against the country’s death rate of 1.75.

The Telangana government had increased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 59,711 samples between Tuesday and Wednesday , and a total of 5,42,978 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of samples are awaited.
After 2,611 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 32,537 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 452 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 216 cases, while Karimnagar reported 162 cases.
