HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,072 Coronavirus cases on Tuesday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,89,283. The death toll went up to 1,116, with nine new deaths reported on September 29.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,259 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,58,690 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 83.83 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 82.88 per cent. While the fatality rate is 0.58 against the country’s death rate of 1.57 per cent.

The Telangana government had conducted COVID-19 tests on 54,308 samples between Sunday and Monday, and a total of 29,40,642 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 790 samples are awaited.
After 2,259 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 29,477 COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 23,934 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 283 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 161 cases, while Medchal reported 160 cases.
