HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,239 Coronavirus cases on Saturday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,83,866. The death toll went up to 1,091, with 11 new deaths reported on September 26.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,281 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,52,441 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 82.90per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 81.98 per cent. While the fatality rate is 0.5 against the country’s death rate of 1.58.
The Telangana government had conducted COVID-19 tests on 58,92555,892 samples between Thursday and Friday, and a total of 28,00,761 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 882 samples are awaited.
After 2,281 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 30,334 COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 24,83 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 316 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 192 cases, while Medchal reported 164 cases.
