HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,043 Coronavirus cases on Friday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,67,046. The death toll went up to 1,016 , with 11 new deaths reported on September 18.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 1,802 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,35,357 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 81.02 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 78.84 per cent.

The Telangana government had lowered the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 50,634 samples between Wednesday and Thursday, and a total of 23,79,950 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 1,039 samples are awaited.
After 1,802 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 30,673 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 24,081 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest 6,592 patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 314 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Friday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 174 cases, while Medchal reported 144 cases.
