HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,273 Coronavirus cases on Wednesday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,62,844. The death toll went up to 996, with new 12 deaths reported on September 16.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,260 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,31,447 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 80.71 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 78.52 per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.61 as against the country’s death rate of 1.63.
The Telangana government had lowered the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 53,636 samples between Monday and Tuesday, and a total of 22,76,222 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 883 samples are awaited.
After 2,260 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 30,401 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 23,569 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 325 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 185 cases, while Mechal reported 164 cases.
