HYDERABAD: Telangana which had seen a dip in coronavirus cases on Monday is again back to its normal trend and reported 2,058 Coronavirus cases on Tuesday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,60,571. The death toll went up to 984, with new 10 deaths reported on September 15.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,180 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,29,187 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 80.45 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 78.26 per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.6 as against the country’s death rate of 1.64 .
The Telangana government had lowered the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 51,247 samples between Sunday and Monday, and a total of 22,20,586 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of samples are awaited.
After 2,180 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 30,400 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 23,534 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 277 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 143 cases, while Karimnagar reported 135 cases.
