HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 2,278 Coronavirus cases on Saturday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,54,880. The death toll went up to 950, with 10 new fatalities reported till September 12 morning.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,458 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,21,925 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 78.7 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 77.75 per cent. While the death rate of the state is 0.61 as against the country’s death rate of 1.66.
After 2,458 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 32,005 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 25,050 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest patients are in institutional care.
The Telangana government had increased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 62,234 samples between Thursday and Friday, and a total of 20,78,695 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of samples are awaited.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 331 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Friday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 184 cases, while Medchal reported 150 cases.
