HYDERABAD: Telangana Coronavirus tally crossed 1,50,000 mark with 2,426 new Coronavirus cases on Friday. With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,52,602 and the death toll went up to 940, with 13 new cases reported on September 11.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,324 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,19,467 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 78.2 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 77.63 per cent.

After 2,324 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 32,195 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 25,240 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest 6,955 patients are in institutional care.
The Telangana government had increased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 62,890 samples between Wednesday and Thursday, and a total of 20,16,461 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 2,242 samples are awaited.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 338 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Friday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 216 cases, while Medchal reported 172 cases.
