HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 493 new cases in the past 24 hours and total COVID-19 infected cases in the state rose to 3,04,791. The death toll went up to 1,680, with four new fatalities reported on March 25.
Hyderabad is witnessing a steep rise in coronavirus cases for the past few days and is in danger zone with alarming trend in daily reporting cases, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reporting highest cases for the past one week from Wednesday to Thursday GHMC reported 138 cases, on Tuesday GHMC areas report 111 COVID 19 cases, on Monday, GHMC had reported 103 cases. So people living in GHMC limits must follow all precautionary measures to contain spread of Coronavirus.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department on today, a total of 157 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 2,99,427. The Telangana government had intensified the COVID-19 tests in the state and tested 56,464 samples between Wednesday and Thursday. Out of which 493 turned out to be positive and the test results of 893 are awaited. So far Telangana has tested 98,45,577 samples since the outbreak of pandemic.
After 2,99,427 recovered from the virus, there are currently 3,684 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 1,616 of the patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine / institutional care. Out of the freshly reported 493 new cases Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) constitutes the highest with 138 cases.
