HYDERABAD: The second wave of coronavirus has severe impact on Telangana and the state is witnessing a steep rise in COVID 19 case on daily basis. Telangana reported 337 fresh Coronavirus cases on Monday, With this the overall coronavirus cases in the state rose to 3,03,455. The death toll went up to 1,671, with 2 new deaths reported till March 22 morning.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 181 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 2,98,826 till date. After 181 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 2,958 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 1,226 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine or institutional care.
Following the rise in coronavirus cases, the State government to soon take a decision on closing down schools and colleges for few days. Already the Medical and Health Department staff were testing students across various schools and colleges across the State to know the complete details about the severity of coronavirus spread. After going through all these details CM KCR is expected to take a decision on shutting schools and colleges temporarily. In teh last week alone more than 200 students were reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus.
