HYDERABAD: Tension grips in people living in Telangana as the second wave of coronavirus infection intensifying with each passing day. Telangana continues to report a spike in COVID 19 cases for the past few days. Telangana on Friday reported it’s biggest ever jump with 4,446 fresh corona cases and 12 deaths pushing the total COVID 19 infections to 3,46,331, and death toll rose to 1,809. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation reported 598 cases on April 17, 2021.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department on today, there are currently 33,514 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. out of which 11, 396 were being treated in hospitals and the rest 22, 118 are in home quarantine. A total of 1,414 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 3,11,008. The Telangana government urges people not to venture out of their homes without wearing a mask and always follow anti COVID 19 measures to contain the further spread of the virus.
