Taj Mahal Temporarily Closed After Receiving Bomb Threat Call

NEW DELHI: One of the seven wonders of the World, iconic Taj Mahal is temporarily shut and all the tourists were evacuated, after the Uttar Pradesh Police received a bomb threat call about some explosive device placed at the  Taj Mahal this morning March 4.

According to reports, the UP police have received the call to the police helpline number. Immediately after receiving the call police informed the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. Police and bomb squad started a search operation at the Taj Mahal monument. A senior police officer reportedly said that they have not found any bomb or explosive device as of now and the efforts were on to identify the caller. Police opined that it might be a hoax call but efforts are underway to trace the bomb.
