HYDERABAD: It is well known that most controversial director Ram Gopal Varma is filming a movie on the real life sensational rape and murder case of Disha and even titled the name as titled “Disha Encounter”. RGV is filming the real life tragedy in the life of a doctor who was brutal gangraped and murder in Hyderabad in 2019. But Disha’s family has approached the Telangana High Court seeking a restraint on the relapse of the film.

Disha Father filed a petition in Telangana HC on Friday seeking the court’s intervention in stopping the release of the Disha Encounter movie. Disha’s father had appealed to the High Court to order the Centre, and Telangana state government along with the Censor Board to halt the release of the movie. The counsel had requested the judge on behalf of the petitioner sought a ban on the film “Disha Encounter”.
The family had clearly mentioned in their petition that it is improper to make a film on the Disha when a judicial commission constituted by the Supreme Court is still inquiring into the case. Dish father had also sought a direction from teh High Court to the state home department and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) authorities to order the RVG to stop the release of the film.
After hearing the arguments, the Justice P Naveen Rao ruled that the Censor Board along with the Center should immediately address the request of the direction father.
