HYDERABAD: A 25-year-old labourer has been arrested by the police in the Hyderabad city of Telangana for allegedly killing a man, over a dispute on missing Rs 200 from his pocket.
According to police reports, Badri Nagender (50) who belongs to Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh and Ashappa (55) of Narayanpet district in Telangana were working as a daily laborer in Hyderabad city. They both fell asleep on a footpath near Gowliguda after finishing their works on Saturday night.Police said that some strangers might have robbed Rs 200 from Badri’s pocket, after realising that Rs 200 missing Badri got into a heated argument with Ashappa who was sleeping near to him. Despite Ashappa’s efforts to convince Badri that he didn’t steal the money, the latter bludgeoned Ashappa to death during the argument, using a grinding stone. Police reached the spot on getting informed by the locals and arrested Badri. Police registered a case against him and started an inquiry into it.
