The weight and design of the Mangalsutra depends on their rituals, financial status and their tradition. Most of the women prefer to wear Mangalsutra which generally has weight in some tulas. But  surprisingly, a woman from Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi  was spotted wearing knee long gold Mangalsutra which was gifted by her husband. The chain was very long and it weights one KG.

This video has gone viral on social media platforms and dragged the attention of Maharashtra police, who called the woman’s husband for an inquiry over this. Police were shocked to hear that it was not made of gold but it was just gold plated which costs Rs 38,000 thousand and brought from a local jewelry shop. So often teh videos which we post on social media will also land us in trouble, so be careful of what you always post on social media platforms.
