HYDERABAD: Sankranti is one of the most grandly celebrated festivals across India, especially in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In view of the huge passenger rush during the Sankranti festival 2021, Indian Railways will run Dasara 2021 special trains across the country. These trains run on the occasion of Sankranti 202, from different parts of the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Find out the details, routes and timings of special trains running between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
List Of Sankranti 2021 Special Trains
Special Train between Srikakulam Road-Secunderabad (Train No. 07025 / 07026) will start from Secunderabad at 7 PM on January 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 and reach Srikakulam on the next day at 8.30 AM. The same train will start its return journey from Srikakulam at 3.30 PM on January 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 and is scheduled to reach Secunderabad on the next day at 6.55 AM.
A special train Lingampalli-Kakinada Town (Train No. 07447 / 07448) will run from Kakinada town to Lingampally in Hyderabad on January 17. The train will leave Kakinada at 8:45 pm on the 17th and reach Lingampally at 8:20 am. Added to that the MGR Chennai-Lucknow train in Tamil Nadu will run twice a week (on Thursdays and Saturdays) and the Lucknow-MGR Chennai Central train twice a week (on Thursdays and Mondays) between January 20 and January 30.
On the other hand, the Railways is already running special trains between Lingampally to Visakhapatnam. According to the East Coast Railway, superfast special trains between Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli (Train No. 02831 / 02832) will be available from September 9 to 31 and Lingampally-Visakhapatnam special trains from February 10 to February 1. The Secunderabad-Danapur and Puri-Yeshwantpur trains will run daily from March 6 to March 31.
Special train Secunderabad-Srikakulam (Train No. 07025/07026) will be operating between January 8 to 16 and the train will start its return journey from Srikakulam till January 17.
