Kadapa Explosion: 10 Dead In Huge Blast At Limestone Quarry In AP

KADAPA: At least 10 daily labourers were killed in an explosion that took place in a limestone quarry in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, May 8. Several people were trapped under the debris and rescue operations were underway.

According to reports, the daily labourers were working in the limestone quarry at the time of explosion. This explosion took place in Mamillapalle village of Kalasapadu block in the wee hours of Saturday. The dead bodies were completely burnt in the explosion. The incident happened when the labourers were drilling holes in granite stones for inserting the explosives into them. Further details about this explosion are still awaited.
