HYDERABAD: After the centre government had accorded permission for resumption of interstate bus services, now interstate bus operations started with private buses between the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The buses started plying on the roads after five months of lockdown from AP to Hyderabad from Saturday night.
The private bus operators are operating buses to Hyderabad from AP with the permission of Transport Department officials. As the passengers are facing severe difficulties to travel between the Telugu States of AP and Telangana the AP government had decided to accord the inter state buses as per the center Unlock 4 guidelines.
The private resumed their operations from major city’s in AP. The Private bus operators have started online ticket reservation process for 150 private buses. The Private Travel services are willing to increase services depending on the requirement. All the precautionary measures like social distancing , wearing masks were also being followed in private travels buses. Bus operators were reportedly providing Masks, sanitizer to passengers.
Meanwhile, the AP Transport Chief Secretary has written letter to the Telangana government to sign an inter-state agreement to divert RTC buses from AP to Hyderabad and Telangana. But the Telangana government has not yet responded. TS RTC has not given the green signal for service enhancement.
Even the APSRTC wants to reduce the number of kilometers it travels in Telangana. TSRTC also said that they will not increase the number of kilometers in AP.
