NEW DELHI: India on Saturday reported 76,472 new coronavirus cases, with this cumulative coronavirus cases crossed 34 lakh mark on August 29, said Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The case load increased to 34,63,973 and the death toll due to the virus rose to with 1,021 fresh deaths reported across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on today, a total of 2,648, 998 people discharged from the hospital after recovering from the virus till date.
The country’s recovery rate stands at 76.28 per cent while the fatality rate was at 1.82 per cent.
Currently there are 7,52,424 active cases in the country. The Healthy Ministry said that the number of COVID-19 recoveries are much higher than the number of active cases in the country.
