Hyderabad City Buses Resume Operations After Six Months | Telangana Inter-state Bus services Also Resumed

HYDERABAD: In a major good news to all people who travel using public transpiration in Hyderabad and Telangana, after a gap of over six months the city buses in Telangana’s capital Hyderabad city had resumed operations from today, September 25.

Telangana government had also taken decision to resume Inter-state bus services from Telangana to Karnataka and Maharashtra from Friday. The state government had released an an official statement to this effect said on Thursday.

Speaking about the same the Telangana Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar said that only 25 per cent of the nearly 2,800 buses in 29 depots of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) in Hyderabad would resume operation Greater Hyderabad(GHMC) limits.

Meanwhile the Hyderabad city bus services were confined to RTC depos since March as part of the COVID-19 lockdown. Following teh instructions from state officials the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation staff had resumed the bus services within Hyderabad and also inter state services to Karnataka and Maharashtra From Friday.

Earlier The TSRTC used to run about 1,700 buses in the Hyderabad and 1,200 buses in the Secunderabad but now only 25 per cent of the buses will be operated.
