HYDERABAD: In a clear case of hospitals minting money in the name of coronavirus treatment from patients, a private hospital in Kapra denied to handover the dead body of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party leader today.
According to reports, Nirudu Vasu who is a leader of TRS party was infected with the coronavirus a few days ago. He was admitted to Lifeline Hospital In Kapra neighbourhood of Hyderabad city in Telangana, five days ago. The family members of Vasu have already paid around Rs 1.5 lakh for his treatment. But the TRS leader died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. So family members who were about to leave the hospital with the dead body of Vasu were shocked with the hospital management demand to pay Rs 2 lakh to handover the body. After Vasu family members denied to pay Rs 2 lakh and hospital staff shifted the body to mortuary, following this TRS leader’s family staged a protest In front of hospital.
