GUNTUR: Four people were killed when the car they were travelling falls into a canal due to over speeding in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday midnight, October 15.
According to reports, the deceased were identified as people who hails to Pamuru in Prakasam district. The victims were traveling from Hyderabad to Prakasam district when the accident took place on the Addanki-Narkatpally highway at Thursday midnight.
Ramanayya of Pamuru made a contract with four painting persons through a man named Madhu of Dharmapuri in Jagittala district to paint his house. Ramanayya then started his journey for Palmer on Thursday night in his own car along with Mahesh, Biru Goud, Balaji and Anand. However, due to the heavy rain and fog and over speeding of the the car, the driver could not see the path and the car they were traveling in overturned at Rompicharla and fell into a Tangedmalli canal next to the road.
Police have registered a case over the incident and are investigating. Police said that over speeding was the cause of the accident. The full details of the accident are yet to be known.
