DC Captain Shreyas Iyer Fined Rs 12 Lakh After Kohli | DC vs SRH Match Full Cricket Score

HYDERABAD: After Delhi Capitals had lost the match with Sunrisers Hyderabad, now the  team captain of the Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer, has been fined  Rs 12 lakh as his team maintained a slow over-rate against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.

According to reports, Indian Premier League has considered this as the first offence of the IPL season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offence, so has levied a fine of only Rs 12 lakh to Shreyas Iyer.

The Delhi team was fined for failing to maintain the minimum over rate during batting. According to Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct, a penalty will be  imposed if the fielding team does not maintain a slow over rate. This is the second time in this season that a fine has been imposed. Earlier, Bengaluru captain Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh.

Similarly Team captain Kohli has been fined Rs 12 lakh for his slow over rate in Bangalore bowling during the match against Punjab on September 24. In that match, the Bengaluru team lost badly. A fine of Rs 12 lakh was imposed for the first time due to slow over rate. A second offense carries a fine of Rs 24 lakh. A third time can be up to Rs 30 lakh. If he makes a mistake for the fourth time, he will have to resign from the captaincy. But he may be in the final team.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad beat Delhi in a Tuesday Match with 15 runs. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost 4 wickets in 20 overs and scored 162 runs. Captain David Warner scored 45, Bairstow 53 and Williamson 41. Among Delhi bowlers, Rabada and Amit Mitra took two wickets each. Delhi Capitals, who entered the ring with a target of 163, faced difficulties from the beginning.

Prithviraj Shah lost by 2 runs. Shikhar Dhawan 34, Pant 28, Hetmyer 21, Shreyas Iyer 17. Delhi lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 147 runs.
