HYDERABAD: The Telangana state government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday announced that they will provide Rs 25 lakh as ex-gratia to the family members of front-line healthcare workers including doctors, nurses and paramedical staff.
State Health Minister, Etela Rajender said, “The state government said that this Rs 25 lakh ex gratia would be an addition to the Rs 50 lakh, which is being provided by Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package insurance scheme to the front-line healthcare workers who have died due to COVID-19”

Health Minister had announced this decision after attending a meeting with associations representing government doctors and other healthcare workers on Tuesday. Rajender also said that healthcare workers who were infected with coronavirus would be provided exclusive healthcare services at NIMS.
