HYDERABAD: Corona vaccinations will be available to the general public from March 1. Front line workers such as doctors, health workers and sanitation workers were already vaccinated for free. Vaccines are now available to the general public as well. The centre government will supply special vaccinations to those who are aged above 50 years and have health problems, as well as people above 60 years from March 1.
A total of 10,000 government vaccination centers and 20,000 private vaccination centers will be available for vaccination. However, vaccinations are provided free of charge at government vaccination centers. While private hospitals will be charging an amount for vaccination. Corona vaccines will be available in 236 private and corporate hospitals under the Arogyasri in Telangana. Telangana private hospitals will be charging Rs 300 to 500 per dose. Corona vaccine is also given free of cost in government hospitals in Telangana. The vaccine is being supplied only to selected hospitals. The government has already issued clear instructions to hospital staff to give the vaccine in the form of doses and not to give bottles to anyone.
