KURNOOL: One dead and seven people were severely injured after a private bus overturned in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, October 27. The bus driver reportedly lost control over the bus and collided with a divider at Ulindakonda, before the bus overturned.
Getting into the details the bus driver Chandrasekhar Reddy, died on the spot, and several other passengers in the bus sustained injuries. The bus was heading from Hyderabad to Palamaner during the time of the accident. The driver was reportedly drowsy and he didn’t notice the divider at Ulindakonda on the NH44 highway and collided with the bus. After getting informed, police reached the spot and started a rescue operation to save the injured, shifted them to nearby hospital in Kurnool for treatment.Three of the injured were in critical condition.
Ulindakonda police said that they have registered a case and started investigating into it. As per the preliminary information police suspect that overspeeding might be the cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
