AP Remains As Second Worst-Hit By Coronavirus, Reports 10,368 Fresh Case, 84 Deaths

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh continues to record the spike in coronavirus cases being reported on daily basis and surpassed worst COVD-19 affected state Tamil Nadu by reporting more than 10,000 COVID-19 cases for the sixth straight day On September 1. AP reported 10,368 cases on Tuesday and became the second worst-affected state due to coronavirus in India  behind only Maharashtra.

According to the health bulletin released by the state government, the cumulative coronavirus case load in the state rose to 4,45,139 on Yesterday. The death toll due to the virus goes up to 4,053, with 84 fatalities reported on Tuesday.

A total of 9,350 patients were recovered from the coronavirus and discharged from the state run hospitals in the past 24 hours.  With this a total of 3,39,876 coronavirus patients were recovered from the virus and discharged till date.

A record number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in Andhra Pradesh. The state government conducted testing on 59,834 samples in teh past 24 hours and  have tested 37,82,746 people so far since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

There are currently 1,01,210 active cases in the state.
