AP Govt To Fixed Deposit Rs 10 lakh For Children Orphaned In Pandemic

AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government is always at the forefront in implementing welfare schemes for the people. Now the state government has come up with a decision to deposit Rs 10 lakh into the bank accounts of children who lost their parents during this coronavirus pandemic.

YS Jagan has made the announcement to this extent on Monday. This fixed deposit will be made on the name of the children, and the deposit money will be handed over to the children once they turn 25 years old. However an interest of 5-6 percent will be given to the guardian of the child every month. The AP government has also extended the curfew till May 30, which is being implemented across the state from May 5.
