Watch: 100 Injured After Gallery Stand Collapses During Kabaddi Tournament In Suryapet

SURYAPET: Around 100 people were injured after a temporary gallery erected for spectators in a stadium collapsed in Suryapet of Telangana during a kabaddi match on Monday, March 22. This mishap took place, when thousands of people were gathered for the 47th National Junior Kabbadi tournament.

According to reports, there were around 2,000 people present near the gallery in the stadium during the  time of mishap. All those people reached the stadium to watch then Kabadi tournament in which players from 29 states across the country participating in the tournament.  Police who were present at the stadium immediately started the rescue operations and saved the lives of many. As per initial reports police suspect that Gallery weak structure might be the reason for this accident. Among the injured two were stated to be critical. Meanwhile videos of gallery collapse and people falling down has gone viral on social media.
