by Bellamkonda

HYDERABAD: The upcoming Sankranti festival will witness a major box office clash, a slew of movies are eyeing to release their films during the festive time. It’s been more than eight months, movie buffs and audience haven’t witnessed any movie in theatres due to COVID-19.

The government gave permission to re-open theatres with limited capacity and makers are unable to fetch the expected revenue. On the other hand, many of Telugu makers haven’t released movies as they thought it may not be the perfect time to release.

Sankranti 2021 will be bigger than last year because many medium budget films are making their way to clash with other movies in Sankranthi. According to the reliable sources, Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’, Nithin’s ‘Rang De’, Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’ and Ram’s ‘Red’ are all set to release during Pongal festival in 2021.

They are yet to announce the release date of the film. Looks like, there are no big-budget films are lined up for Sankranti release except Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab at this moment.

But, there has been a report that Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’ is expected to release in the first quarter of 2021 and there are more chances for Vakeel Saab to compete in Sankranthi race. Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’ is only bid budget film to release during Telugu big festival ‘Sankranthi’.

He is one of the popular star, if the content of the film is attractive and worth watching, then Pawan may dominate other movies at Sankranthi race. Vakeel Saab is an official remake of Bollywood hit ‘Pink’ and Pawan is all set to reprise the role of Amitabh Bachchan. It remains to be seen which film will emerge as the winner of next year Sankranthi 2021.
