HYDERABAD: Tollywood young rebel star Prabhas on Monday adopted an urban block in Kazipally village of Telangana and laid the foundation stone for the Urban Forest Park in Kazipally village of Telangana on Monday.
Kazipally village is near the Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR) of Hyderabad city. Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy and MP Santosh accompanied Prabhas on this occasion.
Earlier Prabhas accepted the Green India Challenge started by MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar. After accepting the challenge from his uncle Krishnam Raju, Prabhas planted three saplings in his home. On the same ocasion Prabhas tweeted that he would adopt a one thousand acre reserve forest.
Keeping up his promise, now the Pan India star Prabhas said that the park is being adopted by him with the initiative of MP Santosh Kumar. . Prabhas said he would adopt 1,650 acres of forest land and develop it in his father’s name. Prabhas, donated Rs 2 crore for immediate relief, said he was ready to help further if needed.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Santosh Kumar said, “We will soon make efforts to adopt and develop more urban forest blocks.” The Minister, along with the MP, inspected the view point and other facilities in the park. Hero Prabhas planted three saplings in the park. The event was attended by Special Secretary to the Government Shanthi Kumari, PCCF Shobha and other officials and staff.
