HYDERABAD: It is a known fact that Theaters in Telugu states were shut down for more than six months during the lockdown imposed due to coronavirus. Now the theaters which were operational after lockdown are suffering a huge blow with bare minimal audience in the shows. There were no notable Telugu movies released in theaters post lockdown except Vakeel Saab. Even Pawan Kalyan movie is also collected below average collections and disappointed the theaters owners.

The notable Tollywood movies which were supposed to hit the theaters were postponing their release dates with the increasing severity of the second wave of coronavirus.  So the theaters owners are left with no other option at this point of time and majority of Theaters owners were planning to shut down their theaters temporarily. Now producer Suresh Babu’s Suresh Distributions have closed down 40 of their theaters in Andhra Pradesh. Even though Telangana theater also incur huge losses, they haven’t taken any decision over closing theaters but if this situation continues for a month then the same thing might happen with Telangana theaters too. If Theaters were closed then upcoming movies Love Story and Tuck Jagadish will be postponed again.
