Hyderabad Ganesh Immersion 2020: Traffic Diversions and Rules To Be Followed For Ganesh Visarjan

HYDERABAD: In view of Ganesh Visrjan 2020 / Ganesh Immersion 2020, the Hyderabad Traffic police  has taken the decision to divert traffic in several routes of Hyderabad on Tuesday September 1 and will continue the diversions further is situation demands, and they have also imposed special rule that no one can take party in the Ganesh Visrjan unless wearing the face mask in view of coronavirus outbreak.

This Traffic diversion were issued to avoid any untoward movement and to curb road accidents during the  Ganesh Nimajjanam 2020 celebrations in the city.

Hyderabad City police tweeted that they have taken this decision to relieve congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety during the time of carrying Ganesh Idols on Today.

According to Police, the traffic will have major diversion in Keshavagiri – Chandrayangutta- Falaknuma – Aliabad – Nagulchinta – Charminar – Madina building– Afzalgunj – MJ Market – Abids – Basheerbagh – Liberty – Ambedkar statue towards upper Tank Bund / NTR Marg.

While the Hyderabad police had also imposed diversion in routes connecting in Secunderabad from MG road – Karbala Maidan – Kawadiguda – Musheerabad X road – RTC X road – Narayanaguda X road – Himayat Nagar ‘Y’ Junction and Liberty. The traffic won’t be allowed on RP road.

 Hyderabad police said that there will traffic restriction on vehicles heading towards Uppal – Ramanthapur – Junction 6 Amberpet – Shivam road – NCC at OU – Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital – Hindi Mahavidyalaya X roads – Fever Hospital – Barkathpura X roads – Narayanaguda X roads and RTC X roads.

 should go through Krishna Lanka Police Station – Police Control Room – Panja Center – Chittinagar – Tunnel – Gollapudi – Ibrahimpatnam route. He appealed to the people to co-operate to the traffic diversion which would remain in force till the evening of August 15.

Similarly Traffic restrictions will also be imposed on vehicular movement at  Tolichowki, Rethi Bowli, Mehdipatnam, Masab Tank, Ayodhya Junction – Nirankari Bhavan – old PS Saifabad – Iqbal Minar to NTR Marg.

The people who are coming out for the Ganesh Immersion 2020, from Erragadda and beyond,  can take the immersion route via SR Nagar, Ameerpet, Punjagutta, VV statue and can go to NTR ghat.

Similarly Motorists heading from Tappachabutra, Asifnagar have to take the route of  Sitarambagh, Boiguda Kaman, Volga hotel, Goshamahal Baradari, MJ market and can proceed towards Upper Tank Bund.

Police strictly alerted the public that  no traffic other than the idol processions will be allowed on the procession routes.
