HYDERABAD: Telangana reported 1,802 Coronavirus cases on Monday, With this the cumulative coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,42,771. The death toll went up to 895, with nine new cases reported on September 7.
According to the health bulletin released by the state health department today, a total of 2,711 persons have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours pushing the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,10,241 till date.
The recovery rate in Telangana is 77.2 per cent as against the country’s recovery rate of 77.25 per cent.
The Telangana government had massively decreased the number of COVID-19 tests in the state and tested only 36,593 samples between Saturday and Sunday, and a total of 17,66,982 samples were tested in Telangana since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. But the test reports of 1, 759 samples are awaited.
After 2,711 recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, there are currently 31,635 active COVID-19 patients who were infected with the virus. Out of which 24,596 patients are undergoing treatment in home quarantine and the rest 7,039 patients are in institutional care.
Out of the fresh cases reported in the state, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contributes the highest coronavirus cases with 245 cases reported in the last 24 hours till Monday morning. Followed by Ragareddy with 158 cases, while Karimnagar reported 136 cases.
