HYDERABAD: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert to people living in Telangana and announced that temperatures in the state are expected to rise above normal 40 -45 degrees Celsius for the coming three days. The IMD warned people living in Telangana state to be careful as the temperatures are expected to be above normal by at least 2 to 3 degrees till April 3.
With temperatures soaring high across all the districts of Telangana dry weather conditions might prevail over the State, and people are advised to take ample care about getting dehydrated when they are exposed to sun for long duration. IMD also forecasted that Heatwave conditions might prevail over several districts of the state including Adilabad, Nirmal, Kothagudem, Peddapalli, Karimnagar Nizamabad, Narayanpet, Asifabad, Narayanpet and Janagaon. Meanwhile a highest temperature of about 42 degree Celsius was recorded at Adilabad on Tuesday, March 30. The temperature in Hyderabad city is at steady rise over the past few days, Hyderabad registered 39.8 degree Celsius on Tuesday, and it is likely to rise to 40 to 41 degree celsius in the coming three days.
