AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh continues to maintain a worrisome trend with a steep rise in coronavirus cases reported with each passing day. The daily coronavirus cases touched a mark of 23,920 in the last 24 hours. People living in the state are in extremely dangerous situations and at high risk of getting infected with COVID 19 and one out of four tests conducted across the state is turning out to be positive. In the last 24 hours AP reported 83 deaths and the death toll rose to 8,136, which is rising alarm bells over the safety of people in the state.
The AP government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, at least now has to come up with a way to curb the spread of the virus, before the state turns into one more Maharashtra, Karnataka or Delhi. Which were among the most worst affected states due to COVID 19. So most of the people were also demanding to reimpose the lockdown to break the chain of the virus. But, will the YS Jagan government re-impose lockdown for saving the lives of people or not is yet to be known. But for any state government the primary responsibility is to safeguard the lives of people other than anything. So let us wait and watch what the AP government will do to stop the spread of coronavirus further.
